Computed Tomography Department

General characteristics

Computed tomography is one of the most modern, high-tech, high-quality, efficient and reliable radiological diagnostic method. It is based on obtaining transverse “slices” of the patient’s body by computed reconstructions. A modern CT scanner that available in the department of CT has a high speed and resolution of the scan, improved visualization of vascular structures and the possibility of three-dimensional reconstruction.

Main Activities

Computed Tomography Department serves more than 40 people per day with various pathologies. On first place come patients with acute cerebral circulation disturbance and polytraumas. Then - the patients with oncological and inflammatory diseases.

In the Department are carried out:

  • CT-scan of the brain in patients with acute cerebral circulation disturbance
  • CT -scan  in  poly-traumas
  • CT- scan with bolus contrasting
  • CT-angiography with the use a contrast agent
  • CT -scan in case of severe surgical pathologies
  • CT of patients with oncological diseases
  • CT scan in vascular pathologies
  • CT-scan in bone pathologies
  • CT-scan of the heart
  • CT during Interventions (biopsy, drainage)

The Somation Sensation Cardiac 64 is the ultimate CT solution to visualize the whole body and diagnostics of a wide range of any organs`s and body system pathologies, including the diseases of cardiovascular system. The equipment can also perform CT-Angioraphy, analysis of spiral imaging and vessels imaging, with the detection of vascular anomalies, aneurysms, plaques and stenoses. Highly effective functioning systems and examination protocols corresponds to modern requirements for the diagnosis of cardiac and cardiovascular diseases, based on an innovative workflow concept.

Siemens’ unique z-Sharp Technology is designed to provide CT images with sharpness, diagnostic detail, clarity and speed.
