Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the world. And the most common type of skin cancer is basal cell carcinoma.

Basal cell carcinoma develops slowly. In the beginning it can be confused with a simple small wound, scar or acne. Most often it occurs around the head and neck.

Externally, basal cell carcinoma can be characterized by the following signs

  • pink or dark lesion with a small hole in the middle
  • an ulcer that does not heal for a long time or recurs
  • Slightly bulging red spot that may look like a mole, wart or other safe lesions

The treatment is mainly surgical.
