ENT and Audiology

ENT and Audiology
The service provides medical care for both adults and children starting from the age of one. The use of advanced diagnostic and treatment methods, including optical devices, video monitoring, and data archiving, ensures accurate diagnosis and clinically justified treatment.

ENT doctor in Yerevan

One of the key objectives of the service is preventive comprehensive examination of organ systems to detect diseases at an early stage, using advanced radiological methods.

The service provides both outpatient and inpatient treatment, as well as day-care treatment for patients who do not require continuous monitoring.

For the endoscopic and microsurgical treatment of deformities of the nasal structures, inflammations of the paranasal sinuses, and intra- and paranasal formations (polyps, cysts, etc.), modern technologies are applied.

Diagnosis and treatment of patients in the ENT Service in Yerevan are carried out with the use of specialized equipment, based on clinical, laboratory, and instrumental investigations (ultrasound, advanced radiological methods such as radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging).

Snoring and obstructive sleep apnea are treated surgically, based on the results of polysomnography (sleep monitoring) and computed tomography of the airways. When indicated, and after identifying the level of obstruction, uvuloplasty is performed.

Diseases of the vocal system are treated surgically by endoscopic surgery of the vocal cords using a Leica microscope, through natural passages, without external incisions, with minimal hospitalization and a short recovery period.

The outpatient ENT unit also provides diagnosis and conservative treatment, applying different monitoring methods.

In the hearing research and prosthetics room, all modern methods of hearing assessment are performed, including:

  • Threshold audiometry – evaluation of the degree and type of hearing loss
  • Impedancemetry – assessment of the functional state of middle ear structures
  • Otoacoustic emission testing (DPOAE) – evaluation of the functional state of auditory receptors
  • Auditory evoked potentials – diagnosis of hearing loss in adults and children, starting from the neonatal period

Based on the results of these studies, optimal treatment is planned at early stages of disease, and hearing prosthetics are provided using high-quality Siemens digital hearing aids.

International collaboration: The service works closely with leading clinics and specialists in France and Germany. The staff regularly undergo professional training in top clinics in France, Germany, and Russia.

Academic base: The service is a clinical training center of the ENT Department of Yerevan State Medical University, where undergraduate and graduate students are trained, and clinical residents and PhD candidates conduct scientific and practical work.

Equipment includes:
