Indications for a visit

- Redness of the eyes; if your eyes are reddening, especially if the redness is accompanied by itching and burning sensations,
- Sensitivity to light, especially if occurred suddenly, can be a sign of various ophthalmologic diseases.
- Changes in the color vision; loss of color vision or a change in the perception of colors,
- Change of the eyeball shape,
- Visual field defects; if you notice a limitation of the visual field or blind spots, it may be a sign of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or other diseases.
- Excessively wet or dry eyes; excessive tearing or, on the contrary, a feeling of dryness and irritation can be associated with various problems.

Before visiting an ophthalmologist
- Remove contact lenses the night before (if you wear them) and wear them at least 30 minutes after the end of the consultation,
- If you want the doctor to choose glasses for you, it is recommended to register for an appointment in the morning to choose the glasses before the daily visual load will have an effect on your eyes.
- Take all the medical documents containing information about your eyes with you so that it is possible to observe the dynamic of changes,
- Depending on the examinations being performed, you may be at the ophthalmologist for about 40 minutes to 3 hours.
