Endoscopic Diagnosis

During examinations, it is possible to simultaneously perform biopsy, chromoendoscopy, and tests for the presence of Helicobacter pylori. Tissue immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical studies are also carried out, which are considered the most informative and accurate methods for diagnosing benign and malignant formations.
With the help of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ultrasound examination can be performed on internal organs that are inaccessible with conventional ultrasound. EUS makes it possible to detect diseases at an early stage. Unlike CT, this method allows visualization of organ cavities in different planes, tracing the course of ducts, and performing targeted biopsies from specific tissue areas under direct ultrasound guidance.
Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy includes:
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy
- Bronchoscopy
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
