Orthopedics and Traumatology, "Coxa" Clinic

Orthopedics and Traumatology, "Coxa" Clinic

The orthopedic Traumatology Service performs the treatment of limbs and pelvic bones injuries, bone pathology, congenital and acquired malformations of the musculoskeletal system.

Modern methods of treatment and technologies proposed by the world's leading specialized associations (AO / ASIF, AAOS, etc.) are used.

The service performs organ-preserving surgeries. In case of spread bone diseases, bone and joint defects are removed, preserving a fully functional limb.

Traumatologist-orthopedist in YerevanWithin the framework of the service, planned surgeries with orthopedic pathology are performed (endoprosthesis in case of fracture coxarthrosis and gonarthrosis), corrective osteotomies: outward bending first toe (Hallux valgus), conservative treatment of osteoporosis, injection of intra-articular hyaluronic acid in the case of osteoarthritis (PRP, PRF, viscosupplementation therapy).

In the case of total hip or knee endoprosthesis, surgery is performed in order to replace the entire hip joint of the patient with an artificial joint.

With the use of an innovative, world-leading joint endoprosthesis method, after endoprosthesis, the patient is able to stand up, walk on the very day of surgery, and the next day and go up and down the stairs.

Modern communicative analgesic techniques are also used to provide sustained analgesia from the first days of the postoperative phase.

The following surgeries are performed in the department:

  • Modern treatment of all types of injuries and complications;
  • Surgical treatment of fractures and complications;
  • Reconstructive surgery
  • In case of arthrosis, arthritis and fractures: endoprosthesis of the hip, knee,
  • Arthroscopic surgeries of the shoulder, knee and ankle joints.
  • Plastics of defects caused by surgical treatment of benign bone tumors and tumor-like growths through using the patient’s own bone and different types of artificial implants;
  • Knee endoprosthesis with restoration of the distal part of the femur or the proximal part of the groin;
  • Application of various methods of external osteosynthesis and external fixation in traumatic bone fractures.

Usually, joint endoprosthesis surgeries are performed without serious complications, in almost all cases the patient's mobility is restored, relieving him of many years of pain.
