Mammography
There are mammographic examinations for screening and diagnostics. Screening mammography is an annual, routine examination performed on women aged 40 and older with no complaints. If there are symptoms present (palpable growths, nodules, skin changes, changes around the nipple area, or production), then regardless of age, diagnostic mammography is indicated for all women.

Equipment
The Mammography Service of Nairi MC has been equipped with a SIEMENS Mammomat Revelation mammograph, the purpose of which is the early detection of cancer with the help of ultramodern tomosynthesis.
The Revelation mammograph has a prominent tomosynthesis system, which is a unique 50º wide-angle capability that allows to get high-quality images necessary to identify and diagnose breast cancer at an early stage (in more than 43% of cases), more than in 2D images, get 25 projections (the highest possible number) and 3.5 times deeper layers, which is unique compared to other mammograms.
To obtain clear and detailed images, the breast is placed between two mammograph plates, which then fix it with a slight squeeze, to achieve an even distribution of the tissue.
During the examination, the individuality of each woman is taken into account, applying soft compression and relaxing MoodLight (calm light effect), reducing the feeling of discomfort or pain in the breast, which guarantees a high-quality examination.
The device allows you to lower the radiation dose by up to 30% using the PRIME system, weaken the compression by 40% without changing the quality, and reduce the number of repeated examinations of the patient, contributing to a more rapid reading of the results.
The device is the only one in Armenia equipped with TICEM system contrast mammography software, the results of which can be considered as an alternative for MRI examination.
Insight 2D and Insight 3D synthetic images are more precise images compared to 2D and 3D, and speed up the diagnosis in screening and diagnostic studies without additional radiation, facilitating the transition to tomosynthesis according to radiologists' preference.
